Wolf & Sheep
Acrylic on wood panel (12 in x 12 in)
My brother wrote a poem a while ago that he wanted me to turn into a painting. The irony is that I can’t find it, but it was a beautiful and angsty poem from the perspective of a wolf, pleading that he shouldn’t be shamed for also trying to feed and protect his family in the same way the shepherd protects his herd. I painted this for Sam as a Christmas gift.
The white blurs are the sheep, there are four wolves, and the orange eye is the shepherd. You can see his crook in the third photo. Also, both the father wolf (top left) and the shepherd are shedding a single blue tear.
Hands down the most dope painting I’ve done yet.
